There aren't that many cycle events where a complete amateur could walk up, give it a go and end up winning the biggest prize of the year!
But did you know the Insync StreetVelodrome VikingProSeries offers exactly that.
AMATEUR TURNED PRO - ROWENA PRICE IS A MAIN CONTENDER FOR THE 2018 SUPERFINALS
Over the last five years of the series 1,000's of amateur riders have taken up the opportunity to have a go and end up racing alongside Olympians, World Champions and some of the brightest future stars of cycling.
In 2015 Rowena Price, an amateur rider from Worthing, took up the challenge and ended up being ranked the top female amateur rider of that year. She was awarded a pro rider contract for 2016. She now goes into the 2018 SuperFinals as one of the main title contenders, having won gold in Round 1 in Dublin.
ANYONE CAN GIVE IT A GO
In 2014 Dave Johnson, a BMXer from Stevenage, was persuaded to have a go by a friend. He ended up winning the overall SuperFinals title that year and then repeated that feat in 2015.
Who will we discover in 2018? Entry to take part is completely free and all the equipment and coaching you need is provided.
The top prize for winning the 2018 SuperFinals is a £500 cheque. Not bad for just doing a few laps of the track!
