London’s Canary Wharf is the world’s largest commercial property development. Competitive track cycling comes to Canary Wharf in August with the pop-up Viking StreetVelodrome Series bringing its unique televised national SuperFinals to Montgomery Square on 10th August.

Following regional heats held across the UK and Ireland, the very best amateur riders will be joining the pros, including defending Series champions Jess Stone and Patrick Robinson, Olympic track racing star Shanaze Reade and European Champion Veronika Widmann.

Plus there will be some of the best cycling talent of the future competing in the DeNovo Kids Series.


Best of all anyone can have a go...Come and try track cycling first hand, test your speed in a qualifying session with a chance of racing in front of the cameras. Or simply enjoy the spectacle watching some of the UK’s most exciting cycling talent race in the televised SuperFinal.

There will be open sessions for amateur riders, Pro Team Qualifying Sessions, Kids racing (3 to 11 year olds), NexGen Series (12 to 16 year olds) and finally the Viking StreetVelodrome Series SuperFinal with fast and furious head to head pursuit racing at its very best.

The Viking StreetVelodrome Series involves six regionally based Pro Teams competing for a national title. Including Team London, Team Dublin, Angels of the North, Suffolk Saints, SouthCoast Rollers and Team Wigan. Each team is made up of one Male Pro and one Female Pro with the riders all having competed at an elite level in some form of cycle sport. Uniquely the Viking StreetVelodrome Series brings together riders from the world of BMX, Mountain Bike, Downhill, Track and Road Racing. The TV Series is filmed for broadcast on BTSport and Bike Channel as well as been shown in over 80 countries.

Its no secret that cycling is huge in the City and getting bigger. So what better place for our most important event of the year.”

The Viking StreetVelodrome Series SuperFinals will showcase this unique form of cycle sport at its very best. All the series titles will be up for grabs.
