 Now entering its fourth season the UK StreetVelodrome Series will once again be bringing the World's most accessible cycle sport to towns and cities across the nation. 2016 saw the tour extend to eight rounds with events in London, Belfast, Cornwall, the North East, Suffolk and Sussex.

 

The concept is an innovation specifically devised to entertain, engage and inspire people into cycle sport. In 2016 it continued to innovate and grow.

 

 

2016 saw the launch of Cycling Futures our ground breaking out reach programme for local schools at each of our televised rounds of the series. 1,000's of primary school children from across the UK get their first taste of cycle sport with our pro rider competitors on hand to offer expert coaching.

 

Plus our unique national curriculum resource packs, with their cycling active content, help teaching staff take the cycling message back to the classroom.

 

 

 

We also launched our six new regional Pro Teams, each with two elite level pro riders, one male and one female. 

 

The teams competed across the series for the coveted Series Champions title in our national pop up track sprint pursuit championship. 

 

At each regional round of the Series one of the Pro Teams became the 'Home Team'. Local fans responded brilliantly, throwing their support behind their local team.

 

 

 

In 2016 we had 500 local amateur riders compete in our televised series for free with just the top 12 making it to the SuperFinals held as part of Prudential RideLondon in Green Park, London. But another 8,000 took part in our free public access sessions, each benefiting from coaching from one of our pro riders.

 

 

Around 250,000 live event visitors saw StreetVelodrome in action throughout 2016 with another 2 million on social media engaging with us. 1.6 million UK TV viewers will see StreetVelodrome content on television and our four part TV series will be distributed around the world with reach to over 1 billion homes globally.

 

We deliver great cycling related content to a broad audience. We attract core cyclists from road, mountain bike, bmx, fixies, downhill and leisure cycling. We also engage with people new to the sport. With our free equipment loan, free entry and free expert coaching we are the premier gateway to cycle sport in the UK.

 

We offer our brand partners a range of opportunities to get involved. From series naming rights to product placement, live event retail, promotion and data capture activities.
