PREVIEW: SUPERFINALS AMATEUR ENTRY LIST ANNOUNCED

The final Amateur Rider entry list of the 2016 UK StreetVelodrome Series is now out.

Those on the list will have a unique opportunity to compete in front of the crowds and TV cameras at the Prudential RideLondon SuperFinals. They could win a national title for themselves and influence the overall outcome of the Series for the Pro Teams.

The full Pro/Am Series Amateur Rider, Kids Series & NexGen Series entry list can be checked out here.

The Pro/Am Series Amateur field is made up of Auto Qualifiers, those who have won their way through to the SuperFinals at one of the seven regional rounds of the Series, and the Wildcard Qualifiers, those hoping to qualify on the day.

The Auto Qualifiers already know they will be racing and for which of the six regional Pro Teams. Their results really do matter. With each of the three team competitions, including The Overall Series Champions, Most Catches and Most Wins Trophies, all still in the balance the Pro Teams will be relying on the Amateurs as much as their Pros.

The Wildcard Qualifiers need to top the morning time trials to get selected. Two male and two female Wildcards will go through by rites. Then any Auto Qualifiers who couldn't make the trip to the SuperFinals will be substituted by the best Wildcards.

Wildcard Qualifying runs from 9.30am to 12pm. By which time we will know the final line up of riders for the 2016 UK SuperFinals.

Along with the Pro/Am Series the SuperFinals will also see the conclusion of the Kids Series and the battle between the Sharks and the Tigers. Those on the entry list will all race and score points for either team with the final three races taking place just before the final SuperFinal races of the day.

The SV NexGen Series will also conclude at the event. This new competition allows exciting new cycling talent aged between 12 and 15 to race just like the Pros. They will compete in a 2 lap time trial to determine the line up for the final NexGen race of the year.

The SuperFinals will take place as part of Prudential RideLondon in Green Park, Central London on Saturday 30th July.

Wildcard Qualifying 9.30am

Pro Team Qualifying 12pm

Kids Series & NexGen Practice 1pm

The 2016 SuperFinals 2pm
