In this Saturday's StreetVelodrome SuperFinals the last four races of the season will decide who wins the 2016 UK StreetVelodrome Series. Here's a quick guide to which of the six Pro Teams can still win and what they need to do.
Each team is represented by two Pro Riders (one male and one female) and two qualifying Amateurs (one male and one female). The SuperFinals will see the very best finalists in each of the four categories going head to head to decide not only the individual titles but also the outright series champions. These are the four SuperFinals.
The Pro Teams have spent seven rounds of the Series fighting for gold, silver and bronze medals. The team with the highest tally of gold medals wins. If teams have an equal number of golds, the number of silvers are taken into account. If there's still a tie then the number of bronzes will decide the outcome.
Here's what the three teams still in the hunt will have to do.
Angels of the North need to win all 4 SuperFinals to win the series outright
Team London need to win at least 3 SuperFinals and hope Team Cornwall don’t win any.
Team Cornwall need to win just 1 SuperFinal or if they don’t win any they must hope that Angels of the North win no more than 3 golds or London no more than 2.
The Prudential RideLondon SuperFinals will take place in Green Park, Central London on Saturday 30th July. Amateur qualifying starts at 9.30am. Pro Qualifying at 12noon. Racing starts at 2pm with the final celebrations expect at 3.30pm. StreetVelodrome is a 100% free event to watch or to compete in.
