NEWS - ENTRIES NOW OPEN FOR THE PRUDENTIAL RIDELONDON SUPERFINALS
Entries are now open for amateur riders to enter our SuperFinals event at Prudential RideLondon on 30th July 2016 in Green Park overlooked by Buckingham Palace.
The UK StreetVelodrome Pro/Am Series uniquely allows amateur cyclists to enter the Series free of charge and to compete to represent their own regional team at the all important SuperFinals.
The expected line up for the 2016 UK StreetVelodrome Series SuperFinals will include six male amateurs and six female amateurs, along with our regular pro riders. Together they will all be competing to win the individual national titles for their categories and contribute towards the overall team competition too.
So far as the UK StreetVelodrome Series has toured across the country we've recruited 8 amazing amateur riders who will all be competing in the SuperFinals. With two more places expected to be filled at Round 7 in Bury St Edmunds on 17th July there will be at least two further places plus some first reserve slots left available.
This leaves the door open to anyone who fancies their chances to become our national amateur champion for 2016 sign up now to secure their place at the SuperFinals and the chance to compete in front of the TV cameras, plus 100s of applauding fans at the UK's largest cycle sport event of the year, Prudential RideLondon.
TEAM CORNWALL ARE ALL SET FOR THE SUPERFINALS
Entry is 100% free with all the equipment and coaching provided. Successful entrants will compete in a 2 lap time trial qualification session. The fastest progressing to the SuperFinals.
Also available are free entries to our Kids Series finale (for 3 to 11 year olds) and our StreetVelodrome NexGen Series for 12 to 15 year olds.
Successful entries are notified immediately with more event details sent a few days before the big event.
Entrants should expect a fun filled day with Amateur qualification starting at 09.30 on the day and running till 1pm. There will then be the Pro Rider Qualifcation session, an action packed hour of high speed action from 1pm to 2pm. After which its the kids turn to take over StreetVelodrome as both the Kids Series and NexGen competitors take to the track for coaching and qualifying runs.
ANGELS OF THE NORTH PRO RIDERS WILL BE JOINED BY THEIR QUALIFYING AMATEURS
The main racing is scheduled to start at 4pm and will be televised for BTSport and Bike Channel. The event is being held as part of the Prudential Ride London and will be based within the FanZone area in Green Park.
TEAM LONDON ARE ALL SET WITH THEIR PROS AND AMATEUR RIDERS SELECTED
The Series is a finely balanced competition and with the results of the Amateur races possibly influencing the overall outcome of the Series it will make for a very exciting evening of racing to finish off the Series.
