The 2015 UK StreetVelodrome TV Series was seen by thousands last year as part of a four part series shown on BTSport and in 'bite size' form via the StreetVelodrome Facebook page.
But since its original UK release the TV series has now been aired across the globe in Asia, Africa, North America, the Middle East and Europe. Channels such as Bloomberg (USA), Fox Sports (Africa), BBC Arabic (Middle East), Ten Sports (India), Astro (Malayasia), TLN (Canada) and the Bike Channel (Italy) have all shown the complete series. Plus there are futher networks looking to broadcast the 2015 Series throughout 2016.
That has given the UK StreetVelodrome TV Series a potential to reach over a billion homes across the World, including 340 million in North America and over 300 million across Asia.
StreetVelodrome Series Director Carl Thompson commented "Its fantastic to be able to deliver the StreetVelodrome message of making cycling and cycle sport more accessible to so many people around the World. By showcasing the energy and drama of the Pro Rider competition in an entertaining and easy to view form the Series offers a far greater appeal to both cycling and non-cycling audiences. We can't wait to see what 2016 brings!"
The TV series shows all the key race action and the battles which raged between the Pro Riders. It also picks up the story of the amateur riders who met the StreetVelodrome challenge and went on to become finalists at the SuperFinals in London. With rider profiles and some interesting behind the scenes stories the Series lets the viewer learn more about StreetVelodrome, the World's most accessible cycle sport.
The Series is still available to view in full in our Media section at www.streetvelodrome.co.uk.
The programme was presented by 4Music's Vick Hope and executively produced by Jill Douglas (BBCSport / ITVSport). It was made by the UK's leading cycle sport production team at Cyclevox.
