CUDA – THE OFFICIAL BIKE PARTNER TO STREETVELODROME KIDS SERIES
The 2016 StreetVelodrome Kids Series kicks off with an action packed launch event at the London Bike Show held in Excel, London on Saturday 13th Feb 2016. The launch will also see the new Cuda Performance range of junior bikes introduced as the official bike of the Series.
The event will be filmed for broadcast by Sky TV's Game Changers, a sports magazine show dedicated to inspiring children to get more involved in sport.
StreetVelodrome is a televised pop-up track Pro-Am racing series which tours the UK and offers a uniquely accessible form of cycle sport using its innovative portable banked track. Events are held in city and town centres in partnership with local authorities and are devised to encourage more people into the sport. There are no entry fees and all the equipment and coaching is provided.
A key feature of the tour is the StreetVelodrome Kids Series. Kids aged from 3 to 15 can take part and enjoy cycle racing, many for the first time. Each of the young racers receives expert coaching and a fun race experience, plus the chance to compete for either the Sharks or the Tigers, the two teams created to compete in this engaging UK wide tour.
Series Director Carl Thompson comments “We are really excited to once again be working with Cuda Bikes after the success of our 2015 Series. The Kids Series is all about removing the usual barriers to participation and creating inspirational experiences and a connection with cycle sport at a young age. Having the right equipment to deliver that is vital. So we are enormously grateful to be able to offer our young riders some the best junior bikes on the market”.
Cuda Bikes Brand Manager Lauren Smith “We’re delighted for Cuda Performance to be the official bikes of the StreetVelodrome Kids Series. It’s so important to give kids the best possible introduction to the sport and our new Cuda Performance range is perfect with its focus on weight and performance. Weighing in at just 6.4kg the CP14 from the new range is one of the lightest junior models on the market making those first riding experiences even easier.”
To celebrate Cuda being the official bike partner entrants to the StreetVelodrome Kids Series will also have the chance to win their very own bike from the range in a free prize draw.
