Last year’s female and male pro rider champions Anna Glowinski and Dave Johnson are teamed up to defend their titles as part of Team Quella.

Together they will make a formidable team and will certainly help Team Quella in their attempt to top the team medal table at the end of the Series.

Anna tops the all time stats with a total of 5 Golds and 21 individual race wins to her name. Whilst Dave heads the male Pro rider stats with 4 Golds and 17 individual race wins.

Anna won her title at the SuperFinal in Broadgate, City of London last year by beating Isla Short (2014 National Mountain Bike Champ) in the final deciding race of the year. Dave meanwhile won his title after going head to head with Craig Maclean MBE (Glasgow 2014 double gold medallist).

Ahead of the Team’s official launch at a 4-day pre-Series event held in Wigan on 1st May, Team Quella’s principle, Jordan Emery commented “Quella are delighted to be launching our pro team at StreetVelodrome 2015. Both Anna and Dave are phenomenal riders and I'm sure Team Quella be the one to watch this year."

Anna Glowinski commented “I’m looking forward to the start of the Series in Paisley. It’s a fast short track with plenty of scope for races to end with a catch. The competition this year is going to be tough. But its great fun and I’m looking forward to it.”

Quella Bicycle will be the official bike supplier for the 2015 UK StreetVelodrome Series. All competitors whether Pro Rider or amateur will be using their single speed track bikes which have been especially created for StreetVelodrome.

Dave Johnson said “I am really stoked about getting the chance to defend my title with Team Quella. The bikes are faster this year, but that’s no advantage as everyone is using the same kit. So it’s up to me to make it count and grab those wins whenever I can.”

Spectators and fans can see Team Quella in action up close and for free as they compete in the nationwide StreetVelodrome Series. Amateur riders get the chance to compete alongside the Pros by taking part for free in early morning qualifying sessions to find the best local riders. Those making the grade join the Pro Teams competing in the Series and have the chance to go all the way by winning a place in the SuperFinal on August 13th in Broadgate, City of London. This year the best amateurs will be offered Pro Rider contracts for 2016.

StreetVelodrome Series Director Carl Thompson commented “Team Quella must surely start the 2015 Series as favourites, on paper at least. Anna and Dave always put so much into their performances on track so its an honour to have them back with Team Quella to defend their titles.”
