From Twitter Chat to Fast Track

We celebrate the amateur rider as much as the Pro at StreetVelodrome HQ.

After contacting us via twitter (@streetvelodrome) relative new comer to cycling, Ella Redhead, asked how could she get involved in the Mpora StreetVelodrome - Manchester for this weekend's event at the Manchester Bike and Tri Show.

Ella, a school teacher, plays rugby for her local women's team , she's taken part in tough running challenges and is now turning her hand to triathlons. Her claim to fame is she once competed for England in the Kabaddi World Cup in India. The team finished 3rd!

We sent her all the details about Streetvelodrome and in just a few minutes she tweeted back "I'm in, #livestooshort '.

Dam right Ella.

In just a few days time she'll be lining up in one of six pro team squads as their guest amateur rider. She'll be competing on track against other amateurs and the pros in a televised battle to win the inaugral Mpora StreetVelodrome - Manchester event. She'll get to meet Olympic Gold medalist and World Road Race Champion Nicole Cooke MBE and plus she'll feature in the Channel 4 programme to be broadcast on 6th April.

Come along to Manchester Bike and Tri on 9th March and support Ella and her team as they race for gold.

StreetVelodrome where every rider matters and every second counts.
