Twelve riders of varying age and ability took part in our first test event held near to the Shropshire town of Whitchurch. A full report and results will be posted shortly.
The racing was fast, furious and close as the riders pushed the limits of the bikes the banked corners and their own ability. The final podium saw ex pro and club rider Jason Shackleton win Gold and veteran Mitchell Gough win Silver. However 16 year old Warick Gough, who had been eliminated in the first round, won the first StreetVelodrome Wildcard of the day (for being the fastest of the round 1 loosing riders). With his Wildcard getting him back into the competition he went on to Win his 2nd round heat by scoring a 'Catch' against fellow youth rider Chris Molena.
A win in the 3rd round against Newport Shropshire Cycling Club's Omar Hussien saw him secure a place in the finals where he went on to win Bronze by beating fellow finalist Christian Collis.
